Kiosk "I Love Lisbon" is an original creation and was inspired by the typical Lisbon colors and old houses, especially of Alfama area. The chosen colors were the tradicional soft colors seen on Lisbon façades - yellow, green, white and pink.
It is composed of a rectangular tower in which each side
presents a different façade. I wanted to show the two most common sides of the
city, the more popular and the more “bourgeois”, each with its particular
style. The balconies with laced curtains, the basil, the stray cat and the
street lamps are several of the elements used. The corbels in the corners of
the base recall the portuguese guitar. The canvas is a removable rooftop made of red tiles and the kiosk may function as a lamp with string lights on the inside.
This paper miniature was designed in three main materials - mostly paper, plastic fiber (printed in a 3D printer) and acrylic paint for the lamps. A kiosk "I Love Lisbon" is hand-made in its majority and takes one week to create.
