Il desiderio originale (The original wish) originates from a reflection on what is considered the original sin: Eve who ate the fruit of the tree commits the simple “sin” of desiring knowledge of the truth, which according to ancient Jews was given only to God. In this work, the aim is to return to one’s knowledge of oneself, to one’s roots, to one’s origins from which dreams and projects for one’s own life originate. The user is invited to take one of the threads and tie it in a knot to the tree/column, a reinterpretation of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, as they make a wish.
On the column are engraved doilies, or Indian mandalas, and that allow you to tie-up yarn.
