In this sculpture, I cast a wax sheep eye, as contraction, which coldly gazes at audiences amid an inviting portal shape, as expansion. The dichotomy of contraction and expansion embodies my deep introspective self. Sheep reflects the archetype of the sacrificial lamb, which in Jungian terms, points to the necessity of personal sacrifice. As a cure, the sheep represents a portal to the psyche, a guide through the unconscious realms.
