I built the Simpson Puppets because I consider them of transgenerational interest. The characters are "light" and funny, although they paint caricatures of "human typologies" of an irreverent and decadent modern culture. Despite everything, the value of family, for the Simpsons, remains profoundly strong.
The sculpted heads are from Crete, with a polystyrene base. The body is constructed from scotch-coated newspaper and fabric. The clothes are made of fabric. The body is painted with acrylic colors. Wooden rods support the Puppet and the string connected to the arms allows it to move.
