WORKS
We see, quite clearly the unfolding of the works of the RESÍD(U)O series, in which he uses unconventional materials, as defined by the artist himself: “scraps of materials, metals, papers, textiles, wood, public residues, both organic and inorganic, and natural dyes”... waste materials draw his interest!
He develops the works intentionally starting with a minimum element – the line – unfolding the complexity of shapes, embossments, textures, levels, colors and movements, as we may notice in the mentioned work “Favela” on which we will talk at the end.
To show the context in which we live, in its widest aspect among the different forms of dwelling and its complexities, its surroundings, as a fruit of the macro reality and its consequences, are conceptual fundaments that guide the development of the series.
"The line, as an element among other elements of the compositions unfolds itself in the first set of works, not only as a minimum element, but also as a metaphor of the roads and their paths. Of intentional nature, he also conceives the creation of the works with tridimensional propensity, giving to them the versatility of use, both in on the wall as well on the floor, believing that the many readings, since their conception, are fundamental in the special construction".
