The sculptural composition "Colibri (Hummingbird)" depicts a forest Nymph, whose attention is drawn by hummingbirds fluttering over a flower. The Nymph joins the hummingbirds in admiring the flower, as she carefully reaches for the petals to take in the delicate fragrance. The Nymph’s face is framed by her beautiful curls, with feathers intricately woven into her hair. Her left hand is gently holding her sink tunic, kicked up by the playful summer breeze. Her airy footsteps are reflected in the fresh morning grass lightly swaying around her legs, as her left foot is about to touch the earth. As she spreads her beautiful wings, she is ready to take her ethereal flight.
In this composition, I wanted the viewer to imagine a sublime morning of a beautiful forest Nymph, who awakens to the singing of birds and the scent of flowers.
