“To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to continue to create oneself without end” so said the philosopher Henri Bergson, and these words are the inspiring motive of this sculpture that I have called “Humanhood”.
The human being as a body/substance but also as a being/energy, merges and merges into a new hybrid entity without gender or race identity, not masculine and not feminine, not white not black. A work that wants to be a tribute to the human being as a species capable of adapting to the ideological challenges of the time and surviving changes.
The body of a woman merges with the body of a man, in a composition explicitly inspired by Leonardo's Vitruvian man. Made using UV resin 3D printers, the two bodies with 2 different processing textures intertwine in a new single texture to signal gender and race equality.
