Glass sculpting and drawing are at the center of my work, resulting in artworks on the verge of both
disciplines. Where does the drawing end and the sculpture begin? I wish my drawings to imply
depth and space, and volumes to contributes to the composition of images. Glass’ essential
qualities — plasticity, transparency, and ability to diffract light are at the heart of my work, as well
as its symbolic significance which echoes in the subject of my drawings : flora and the language it
becomes, floriography. Both praxis balance each other : drawing is as quiet, slow and solitary as
hot glass sculpting is a heated, fast-paced team effort; two dimensional images and three
dimensional objects of similar form converse. Emotions and experiences are rendered as detailed
floral compositions intertwining techniques and dimensions.
