This project
maps the poorest city areas, and stands up for equality among people and social
justice for all.
There are
racial discrimination and social inequality in every corner of the world, but it
depends on us whether we will accept it peacefully. Even though we live in a so
called Golden Age of our civilisation, Golden Seesaws show that it’s just a
word play and that the inequality on a seesaw is nothing to play with. That’s
why they are put on dumpsters, which life and child’s play in slums depend on.
All people are equal before God and every life matters!
Story
The life of an ordinary man is always on a seesaw, but
for adults it’s no game at all. Unfortunately, some kids have to grow up before
their time, and for them, the seesaw is to be or not to be, too. It’s in the
course of nature for positions to change, once up, next time down and so on as
long as the game of life is on. Who outweighs leads in the game and it’s up to
them how long the other one will hang in the air, which kids learn very early
and look for their match on the seesaw. The fact is that sitting on a seesaw
can be fun only when you’re a child while later on it becomes a modus vivendi,
a fight. Standing firmly on the ground with both your feet is what you dream
about with your eyes open. No one has ever jumped high without a firm stepping
stone under their feet. For that, one needs to weigh enough. Nowadays one’s
weight equals the ammount of money in their pockets, and money first gets into
the pockets of the faster, stronger, to put it simply, better. Their children
don’t play on a seesaw, they have all the toys in the world in their bedrooms,
the toys everyone would like to have. They can’t miss or lack in anything and
if need be, and it is, a TV guru will come and play with them. The other group
of kids, the ones whose parents do not weigh that much, are happy with second-hand
toys. You can find various things in a dumpster for those small loved angels
quickly lose interest in toys, shoes, dresses... When you get things like that,
out of the blue, as they do, it’s more for show and to be happy when no one
sees you. Food is a different story, they eat it right away for it might expire
in the blink of an eye. They are usually in big groups counting each other’s
bites. The faster you eat, the more you will weigh and thus take the lead when
playing on a seesaw. What a magic combination, a seesaw and a dumpster. TV God
sees all. Who knows, one day they might get lucky and be part of a barefoot
commercial for famine where they’d get soap bubbles to blow and lollipops to
lick firsthand. Until then, they’ll be dreaming of a fairy getting them a
seesaw on their dumpster so their play can be fun and joy. Why not, they’re our
children, too. Hop, hop, to be or not to be. A dumpster full of hope.
