This work is based on the tradition of Globe de Mariée displays that were popular in France in the late 1800s and were used to house wedding souvenirs. The roses, dahlias, and stephanotis that make up the bouquet and boutonniere are all handmade from secondhand wedding dresses and can be removed from the display to be used in a wedding ceremony. The goal for this series of work, entitled Something Old/Something New, is to breathe new life into forgotten traditions and discarded garments.
