This poem by Atlanta Atlantide has the ability
to describe better than any other the architectural concept of the Spanish city
that inspired me to create it during a pleasure trip:
“Galerías
La Coruña”
/I walk in a crystal city where no one is a stranger/Palaces like
spanish galleons that subvert the symmetry of the epilogue into prologue/I look
at its buildings and the infinite reflections that translate images along
recursives straight lines/Kaleidoscopic showes set fire the windows of sunrises
and sunsets/Eburnean balconies white smiles play of theatrical fifth/Precious
caskets sentries of the sea its natural boundary/When the water lappened the
porticoes there were some boats and moorings which called the fishermen to the
ancient dwellings/The Pescadería, gallery of eyes plans and bevelled which
shelter from wind and rain/Compositional prose of a neighbourhood that
was.....virtuous narration of nets, markets and salting fish/ Immortal language gothic Castilian/Surreal vision remote
distances the fishermen and the port/I review its past between arches,
balconies, walkways in identity movement of white canvases opposed to the
monotony of the street/I enter the distant present of sash windows and wooden capitals
into Marina street/Spells of flowers, circles and small medieval niches in
geometric morphology dematerialize the surface into ornament/Chromatisms blue,
green, orange, yellow and lines transform the vernacular perspective in a
dreamlike/Polychrome mirrors blend different and distinct facades into unique
pieces like the embrace a living sculpture between Atlantic and Tower of
Hercules/ (Poem by Atlanta Atlantide)
