Fish Lamb, whole and human

Fish Lamb, whole and human is based on a character in Cloudstreet by Tim Winton. Fish Lamb loses a crucial aspect of his being as a result of an accident and recovers a sense of himself as a whole at the moment of his death. Based on photographs of Tim Winton’s own head, Whole and human is a portrait of Fish Lamb at this moment of integration. Constructed from jettisoned materials, it is consciously contradictory: seemingly heavy but actually light, solid but insubstantial, present but fleeting.
