A scaly
skin clads the surface of the artwork, assembled in repetitive
modules. The geometry of the micro elements that compose it is
violently broken by a bony protuberance that cuts through the work’s
space going towards the beholder.
This work
is the freeze-frame of a moment of suffering, a dynamic
representation of a paimful process of growth.
How
strong must a woman be to succeed in society?
Perseverance,
metaforically represented by the horn, wins with pain the resistance
of an hostile world and makes its way through the crinkles of the
skin, that becomes coriaceous.
The skin’s colour is the only
delicate element left.
