When I moved into my home in San Francisco, I immediately envisioned a feather wall on the back porch. These feathers would all be gathered on the beaches and mountains of my childhood home. It took about a year to complete. The feathers were left by the pelicans, seagulls, hawks, crows and a few rare birds during a time of shedding/molting during the Fall months. The Fall has always been the time I begin a series as it symbolically is a time my Ancestors planted seeds and honored those who have passed.
