Ubiquitous symbols worldwide communicate quickly. At five years of age and a native speaker of Hungarian and German, with exposure to Polish, French and English (father), I easily acquired English coming to the US as a refugee at age 5. Being artistic, I was attracted to shapes as a way to learn. This had a lasting impact on the artwork that I create. The exclamation mark calls attention adding emphasis and sometimes urgency, caution or warning. This artwork constructed of apple branches contains 22 dinosaurs. This inhabitants of the planet once existed, but are no more. The work addresses my concern that many animals living today may also become extinct.
