This work is a soft blue sculpture that expresses gravity. The “wrinkles” and “tension” on the surface of the textiles created by the knitting technique are evidence of gravity. One of the most important elements in the knitting technique’s process is “balance.” This work is a large soft sculpture that visually expresses the enormous external force that affects human existence. The “knitting technique,” the main technique of the work, shows balance and structural form, and the “wrinkles” and “tension” on the surface of the textiles. In this way, we can visually feel “gravity,” which is invisible to our naked eyes, through the tension and wrinkles of the textiles.
