"Epoché (between us)" is a two channels video installation. The two videos are on loop, and their different lengths generate always new pairings between the image.
This work connects the historical form of portraiture with the contemporary increase of the vertical moving image. It also plays on the relationship between the digital and the analogical, since, despite what might be instinctively thought, the footage is entirely analogically generated, with almost no digital post-production.
The looping videos show cycles of production and destruction of my own image, and therefore relate to one's ability to change and to one's mastery in self-presentation. "Epoché (between us)" aims to touch the viewers' interior and private dimension while inviting them to question the nature of what they see.
