Two types of materials that have opposite consistency and flexibility come together to make one only piece. The result is a form in which it is hard to determine which part gives more support to the other. They are one. The stories that this piece can inspire want to vocalize the need for preservation of our species and our planet just the same; the necessity to create a new form to interact with our degraded environment . We humans and non-humans are interdependent and interconnected. The EPIPHYTES are types of plants that live together for company and support without jeopardizing or parasitizing one another. Borrowing such a name to these creatures is a type of call so we can learn from ecological knowledge and create a renewed way of interconnecting art, ecology and science.
