Numerous copper wires hang from the top of an insulator, all spaced slightly apart from each other. The rightmost wire is connected to the output of an amplifier, and the leftmost to the input of a speaker. Sound is generated by conducting electricity from end to end. This model demonstrates an anarchic, unreliable system like the game of “telephone,” observed by the passage of sound which results from the unstable structure itself.
