Close your eyes, reach out and turn the doorknob.
A smack of jellyfish emerges as soon as the door is opened, with their transparent bodies swimming upward lightly as if the gravity has disappeared.
The cat surrounded by jellyfish floats while trying to catch the golden balls flying in the air. As the turbulent current ascends, the golden balls with wings carry the key and gently fly to a further place.
I try to depict a world made up of consciousness where countless thoughts vary greatly and abstract ideas are transformed into physical entities. The cat symbolizes subjective consciousness, the jellyfish stand for all kinds of thought that constantly travel in our mind, and the delicate balls with wings can be seen as the genius ideas that pop up spontaneously. The doorframe represents the existing framework of our mind, and the key can lead us to enter deeper subconscious.
I often pursue visible achievements on the outside while not perceiving the change on the inside. So, once in a while, the invisible thoughts open up the door and push me into the world of consciousness, enabling me to have a glimpse of the true face and energy of what I’m going after.
