Egos Orgânicos, series II
Organic[Egos], represent the shackles of contemporary times in the face of contemporary techniques threatened by technological virtuosity. Where the organic forms combines elegance and the ugly.
Through recycling the artist collects scraps from junkyards and garages, almost in a exaltation to matter, which are victimise by the hands of man after its use - they die.
The ego itself has a negative connotation, but in this case it's the ego-memmory of the despised matters that will fight for a new identity onto a new dimension.
The artist assembels these “living remains” wrapping and soaking almost in a possessive act of their struggle being able to restore a new identity to them as mediation tools for today's critical memory.
