"Mountain Eco" is an allegory of the
historical-climatic situation that our peaks, and our planet in general, are
going through.
In the background the Brenta Dolomites rise up, in order from
left to right: Campanile Alto, I Tre Sfulmini, Torre di Brenta, Cima degli Armi
and Cima Molveno. In the foreground is Echo, a mountain nymph from Greek
mythology.
The mountains, made of centuries-old larch wood, were charred
in a fire, and the ice at their feet is represented by the material corrosion
of the iron in prolonged contact with heat. The call that the Greek nymph
emits, consequently, is no longer a gentle mountain echo, but a cry of
suffering.
The work became part of the works exhibited at the Palazzo
della Regione in Trento, during the Trentino film festival.
