The right side of the work is a sculpture created in 2008 for outdoor installation. As the wings sway in the wind, it visualizes the invisible wind in nature. This time, the left side of the work was newly created and presented as a new work.
The left side of the work plays the role of converting the energy of electricity into wind using a power device. Originally an outdoor work powered by the natural wind, it was transformed into an indoor work by using electricity.
The invisible electrical energy from the electrical outlet is used to generate wind through the rotation of the propeller with a roaring sound via a motor and a large-scale driving device such as a chain. The motor starts running when the audience turns it on. The audience themselves manipulate the energy.
Both wind and energy are invisible. By making each of them visible, we reaffirm their existence and think about the future of nature and energy.
