The casemate la déferlante is part of the family of my sculptures called "casemate". This sculpture is made of stone paper, it is a recipe dating from the Middle Ages that I adapted with my materials from paper pulp mixed with dried and crushed clay, lime, oil linen and other materials such as sawdust. The "breaking wave" is the abstract image of a huge wave that would upset the world, it is certainly linked to my childhood: I lived in Boulogne sur mer and I spent a lot of time on the shores of the Channel, the sea fascinated me and still fascinates me ...
