In my work, I engage directly with nature's offerings—using elements like dried-out trees, decaying wood, and roots as both medium and message. "My Garden" is not just a collection of sculptures; it’s a living testament to the evolutionary timeline of our environment, embodying the current challenges we face.
The trunks in this installation, weathered and imperfect, stand as silent witnesses to the relentless heat of the sun. The mirrors embedded within these sculptures not only reflect light but also symbolize the accelerating impact of climate change. As they catch and amplify the sun's rays, they metaphorically underscore the rapid warming of our planet, forewarning of a future where the conditions necessary for human life are at grave risk.
"My Garden" is an experience in confronting the stark realities of our world—a world where nature’s endurance is both threatened and transformed. My work invites viewers to reflect on these themes, urging contemplation on the delicate balance that sustains life and the perilous path ahead.
