Branded Rose (Pink)

When a viewer first comes upon Branded Rose (Pink) they see a profusion of pink roses twisting up a wall. If they take time to look a little closer, they may notice that the roses are made of cloth. Pause longer and they’ll see brand logos on a few petals. Each of the over two hundred roses that makes up this work was handmade from secondhand Ralph Lauren button down shirts. Finding the hidden potential of everyday objects and giving them a new life as artwork is central to my creative process.
