#BeAButterflyYourself is a symbol for the transformation of individuals and human society.
Especially in crisis like Covid-19 we need to adapt and transform ourselves.
Visitors/participants stand in front of an ultra-high-resolution print of a
butterfly created out of more than 30.000 single photos shot through the
microscope and set together into one artwork. Friends or family shot photos of
them as butterflies and post them in the internet (fakebook/Instagram/...) with
the hashtag #BeAButterflyYourself. It is a statement for a peaceful
transformation of mankind into a sustainable society.
A similar work fro this series has been used by a psychotherapist in Germany to
help her clients to reframe their own roles in life, by switching their
realities into a butterfly’s reality. The rich detail of the print helps them
to immerse into the world of butterflies.
The resolution of the photo would be big enough to print it 6x9m with 300 dpi
photo resolution. A size of 2,40 x 3,60m has been selected for the installation
because it fits perfectly to the average human body size. Smaller persons can
stand a little farther way from the print to look taler.
