Material: cardboard with canvas - with a 3rd dimension for the UV light sourse and the proximity sensor
We believe that we are observing... hills ?... but later on ... near the Painting (or Installation) ..there is a surprise.
It is only one Painting - with two visions or "Double Reading" - with Visible and UV (ultraviolet).
So there is a third dimension (about 18 cm) for the UV light (LED or UV Tube) and Proximity Sensor.
We proposed, already some years ago, this new idea: the "Double Reading" Series
The observer can give his first
interpretation of the painting initially illuminated with normal or
"visible" light (sun, standard lamps). When then he approaches the
painting, thanks to a “Proximity Sensor” the UV LED strips or an UV tube can be turned on.
In
the painting, now also illuminated with UV light, new and evocative images are
added to the previous ones and thus it generates a "double meaning" and a
new, more complete, or even different, meaning.
PS:
- The author as a PhD in Physics has worked in the development and production of the 3 pigments (blu, red and green thanks to atoms of different elements: Zn, Eu and Cd, respectively) measuring and controlling their
colours
