The work that I present offers a very personal look about the concepts of territory and landscape in search of new horitzons, in order to bring the spectator to a reflection about the concept of fragility of the balance and generate a space of consciousness about the concept of sostainability.
The artwork is not more than a register of a possible configuration within the events that surround us. Any intervention, as small as it might be, modifies this configuration torwards a new balance of the elements, not always wished, that shapes the sculpture. The incorporation of one stone in this system can make the established balance tilt and creates thus a new composition of elements of the artwork, damaging in that way the concept itself of composition as a fundamental structure of the whole work.
The fragility of the balance becomes in this way the speaker of the vulnerability of the territory and of our landscapes.
The sculpture offers simultaneously a serious aspect, for its conceptual contents, as well as a playful dimension in the possibility of adding new pebbles in search of new compositions of the artwork.
My work becomes a contemporanean meditation about the mankind and its limits but also about the power that it is able to exert on the space and the nature, getting closer and closer to a fragile balance.
The interest focuses on finding back the man's footprint, his capability to dialogue with the nature, to participate in a critical thinking being progressively more necessary about the relation between the mankind and the nature, about the idea of finiteness of the world.
