"The sentinels of Gaia"
The “Aquarium 2020” project was created to make visible what is not visible to the naked eye. In this transparent wall of water it is possible to observe numerous organisms intent on hiding, dancing or preying. The “Plankton” has unconsciously shared this planet with the Homosapiens for over 150 thousand years. Unfortunately, however, our seas, due to man's careless management, are have become the dustbin of the world. In my micro aquariums I describe the dramatic relationship between planktonic organisms and the quantity of plastic particles dispersed in the seas. The greed and stupidity of man is the first cause of this universal disaster. The Anthropocene, the era we live in, will witness major climatic, biological and terrestrial changes.
