"The first glimmer of spring started with the encounter of the two lovers. Xataña and Quirllqi met in the darkness. They danced, and their hearts tuned, agreeing in a mystic symphony. The smallest and most distant particles of the universe vibrated in cymatics and the borders of reality expanded. They understood the ongoing power of their resonance.
Their love grew, illuminating everything around them, allowing them to read each one’s story in the crevices of their skin. With the symbiose of their emotions they imagined a space celebrating the richness of encounter.
Thanks to Quirllqi’s crafty hands, prince of The Mineral Kingdom, and Xataña’s ancestral wisdom, princess of The Organic Realm, they raised a cocoon where the impossible could become, where iron and plant would meet. While building they learned mysteries of their two empires.
Before this night the different matters composing the universe lived separated from each other in a fixed monotony. Therefore, their love was forbidden. However, once they tasted the ongoing power of connection, they wanted to share their discoveries. They locked up all the new knowledge in the chrysalis and promised each other to bring their communities to it so that the two kingdoms could see, feel, understand and tune together.
They gave each other one last kiss being aware of the danger they will soon face. Indeed, if their people refused to follow, their act would be considered as betrayal.
Nevertheless, the conservative thinking of their vassals, the fear of the minds sealed their fate, the prince and the princess were both sentenced to death and they never saw each other again.
The universe hid their creation and the two lovers only lived their love for that night. Even so their symphony keeps on going for eternity.

This installation takes form in the tention between opposite mediums and textures. The accompanying sound component, a collaboration with Thibaut Deryckere from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, delves into the fusion of sound pollution with the harmonious symphony of jungles and oceans. Accompanied by a 3D self filter, this installation guides us to shed the confines of our skin, consciously playing String Figures _ Haraway, D. J. (2016).
