This installation is made out of two parts. The larger, more visible part resembles a large coat and is made out of a semi-translucent black mesh with colored fibers creating vibrant looking shapes, as well as more volumetric organic looking black shapes which resemble an oil spill. This larger piece is connected through colorful fibers to "gold rocks." The intention of this piece is to address exchange value. What value does gold have in this obsessively monetized time we are living? Is value measured in economic profit?
