Nothing goes unseen anymore. Anonymity is history. And secrets do not exist. How safe do you feel?
This sculpture raises questions about privacy, personal space, and the boundaries of surveillance in our contemporary society. It reminds us of the delicate balance between our need for security and our desire for freedom and anonymity. Through the eyes in the cameras that "follow" the viewer, it almost seems as if the artwork itself possesses a form of consciousness. A reminder of the idea that we are constantly being observed, be it by security cameras, social media, or other contemporary technologies.
All eyes on you is made of gold-yellow powder-coated steel and stands on a concrete base, as if it has been removed straight from the urban landscape. On the pole, there are twenty fake cameras. Each camera features a pop-art eye made of lenticular material. Due to the lenticular material, the eyes appear to come alive, as when you walk past the sculpture, one or more eyes always follow your movement.
