People living in urban area are always heavily dependent on finished goods in current Capitalism society. Human-kind often keeps going on add-on the so-called symbols of civilization to his daily life to satisfy his requirements of living eagerness. It is gradually disappearing for its natural simplicity. I am looking forward to restoring a bit of pure intimacy between us and nature with contingency happened during art creation.
I will make transformation using context emulation by analyzing cultural layer of prehistoric human-kind. My major materials applied include red mud, jute and wood timbers which are often visually showing their intrinsic textures. Through long period of making clay balls and jute ropes weaving which are then installed on wooden architecture with contemporary styling in the future such as strictly straight lines, hexagonal column and those complex geometric shapes.
It is a “primitive tribe in the modern world” for the whole installations in the space. It mixes up symbolic elements of both modern and ancient times which may imply prototype abstraction of a new emerging society. Clay balls scatter around all of installations; the jute ropes weaved as a few cages holding clay balls with its unique taste. In video projection, rolling stones go along ancient trait which sounds human will go back to nature eventually.
I have done physical labor with conscious repetitively as if things ceremonies of writing, counting and marking are done by ancestor. It is time series recording for implementation process with sensing of subconscious. I have finished a life modeling with discrimination of both past and modern.
