6 A.M. (2019)
Digital photographic print on tracing paper and glass tubes (Ed. 1)
202 x 18 x 6 cm / 80 x 7 x 3 in
For 6 A.M. photo-object what interested me was the possibility of adding another temporal layer to the static photograph of the sea tide.
As I converted the image file into a digital negative, the pixels that represented liquid matter in the photographic image were deleted. Only the pixels representing the light reflected over the water were printed on translucent paper. Over this black and white print, reflective and transparent glass tubes were added as replacing water.
It was six o'clock in the morning when the sun rose over the sea, it will always be six o'clock in the morning if we look at a picture of this instant. But time becomes fluid in the holography of the constructed seascape object.
