My work is directly related to the COVID 19 pandemic.
I was in self-isolation in a village near Moscow, where the choice of material for work was extremely limited. I managed to make the project "Burnt in a Pandemic", for the creation of which wood and fire were used. Scraps of old furniture were also used, which brought additional meaning and drama to the work.
During the first wave in 2020, within the framework of the project, I made a series inspired by the search for Russian constructivists of the early 20th century.
The "Burnt in a Pandemic" project reflects the atmosphere of uncertainty and despair in which we all find ourselves and is dedicated to the victims of the virus.
For the first time, people of my age, like many others, are faced with a danger that they could not even imagine. The virus did not attack a separate group or region, but the entire planet as a whole. Humanity is faced with another global threat.
The epidemic continues, and it is not known what awaits us next, it remains to hope for the best and try to prevent rash actions that could cause a global catastrophe in the future.
