I have just
discovered the poetry of Ginczanka (Zuzanna Gincburg) a young Jewish
immigrant from Russia who fell in love with the melody, grammar,
metaphors of Polish language . Her talent, passion receptivity of
expressing feelings, impressed me a lot. I was particularly moved by
“The Rebellion of the Fifteens” - full of passion, stretching
with lust for love, breaking social conventions (all well known to me
because of my 16 years old granddaughter). She almost survived the
dark years of Holocaust, killed by Nazis at the age of 27, some weeks
before the liberation of Krakow.
