ἀνεμόεις (mobile come il vento) is part of a larger work made during an art residency (promoted by the Red Lab Gallery in Milan) in southern Italy in 2021. Through the artistic practice of accumulation and cataloging of images of Warburgian memory, the artist reflects to the notion of Urbild by confronting the heritage preserved by the women met in the city where the residency was held (Lecce) in the trunks (what in Salento are called "casce"), the famous "trousseau," a real dowry for women, a testimony of family history, made of collective efforts and social aspirations.
"An imaginal "flowering" stemming from the study of the archetypal forms of the doilies and the Baroque architecture of the place crossed (precisely the Urbild) and the encounter with the mobility of sea water, a soft moving together, reminiscent of the breath of the wind but also the origin of different and at the same time repetitive signs that with their constant hypnotic floating attract us making us almost lose the sense of reality. Mobility that expresses itself sometimes imperceptibly others vigorously, but that in any case "transports" us to an elsewhere, the one traced à rebours among the primordial images, archetypes and new forms produced by the author." G. Gammarota
This part of the project is represented by a photographic diptych.
