The SARS-CoV-2 virus which caused the (ongoing) COVID-19 pandemic, inspired me to start working on the Veridica Corona series.

I visit the posthumous retrospective ‘Robert Rauschenberg’ at Tate Modern, London. Rauschenberg's
work, his combinations of found objects & found footage – leading
to a new iconography – inspires me to explore new territory in my own
I call it: Veridica.
Modern techniques make it easy to blend images in much the same way that slides were superimposed previously. Rauschenberg's physical transfer process has become the abstract processing of digits.
Drawing on my collection of film and digital photos, I start combining. There is no end to it, it is limitless; it may become dangerous.
Over time several themes emerged in the Veridica series:
My final goal is to illustrate La Divina Commedia Inferno by Dante Alighieri in this Veridica-style. See the Veridica Inferno studies.
