While
meditating and often during the day I try to concentrate my attention
exclusively to one single thing, thought, or idea at a time. I try to
concentrate so intensely that everything else, but the object of my
attention loses its importance. However, no matter how hard I try, many
times my mind wanders in its “own” direction, “breaking” my focus.
Of course, having my mind
wandering during meditation is perfectly normal and that bringing my
attention back is simply part of the process.
Through the works presented in
this series, I tried to symbolise a representation, in a physical form,
of the loss of attention, of the mind that goes on its way as the
acrylic cracks go uncontrolled on their way.
