The Seven Deadly Sins (Part 2 of 2)

Pride, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth, greed and lust... the "Seven Deadly Sins" are a classical theme in western art history. In this series I start from the traditional scheme of the 17th century and transfer it - often ironically - to our times. Excessive use of smartphones, junk food, gambling, sexism - the content is very modern, even if it is presented in a deliberate artificial fashion. The single objects appear in natural size creating a sense of availability and closeness, which is further enhanced by the reflection of the observer in the high glossy surface of the works.
