This artwork uses ritualized expressions to contemplate the "kowtow" moment of late Qing officials and the servile culture and historical constraints behind it. Servile culture, symbolizing submission, has been prevalent in Chinese history and represents the behavioral patterns and psychological states of specific groups. It still exists in various forms today, influencing people's thoughts and behaviors. The artwork attempts to confront these historical legacies from a contemporary perspective, reflecting on how to achieve self-liberation and social progress in the development of modern civilization. The work not only displays the past but also reflects on the formation of the national character and explores the future development of culture.
