Blanche Franssen's "Inner Mirrors" work explores the image perception through the magic of reflection.
She experiments the deconstruction of mirrors and recomposes her work with recycled materials, fabrics, old papers.
She finally makes her self-portrait by a digital shot through her landscape mirror.
We follow the artist in her quest, her constructed and deconstructed image, the interior, the exterior, the reflections of the mirror which represent her and all collages which cover her.
The intimate journey of the artist is put into perspective by a passage through successive photographic veils reproducing the strata of consciousness, disturbed by the drips, the stains, which make up the work.
The spectator, like the gaze, passes through invisible filters, veils, tears, slips between screens and carries with him the traces of memories.
