This photography is my comment on anthropocentric and male-centric perception
of humans. How we look at world has formed what we call Anthropocene – a geological
epoch with human negative impact on Earth's geology and ecosystems. The insects on
photography are from Natural History Museum unused collection. They are victims
of our selfishness. I did not remove the pins which museal insects use to have because I want to show insects as Pin-ups. The painting motif is from Eduard Manet – Le
déjeuner sur I`herbe, 1863. Women on the photo are naked, they are in the park
as pin-ups for the men, just like insects. The photograph is taken in my home made “macro-studio” where I use 6 armed fiber optic light sources.
