This photograph was taken for the project ‘Heryca, Sirus’s travels’, promoted by the Artnostrum Group. It was selected for the poster of the exhibition, inaugurated at the Roman Theater of Cartagena.
The theme of the exhibition consisted of works corresponding to the historical period of the Punic Wars between Romans and Carthaginians.
I chose Sirus, Hannibal's elephant, the only one who managed to reach the gates of Rome alive after crossing the Alps.
The photograph was built based on a pictorial sketch that I made previously and where I tried to capture the spirit of Sirus.
