During my first day of retirement (dued to covid) in the hills, near Arquà Petrarca, I thought of starting a project.
I wanted to pay homage to a tree that is very dear to me, which since I was born has become the plant to which, willy-nilly, I have had to and wanted to offer more attention and play. I have already dedicated to the olive tree and its fruits, a crude attempt at a video-rotoscope, which wanted to evoke the admiration and gratitude that I feel towards this wonderful plant, which annually offers us its fruits. This time my attention fell on its wounds, which, like those of other trees, have the peculiarity of being healed with mastic. The blue stains, which characterize the trunks in such a clear and significant way, touched me in a deeper way than ordinary mastic applied on any other surface could do.
It is a silent and suffered change of which I was an indifferent participant until a few days ago....
