sans sens / senseless actions
"I'm sitting at my desk, thinking I should produce art, instead I just turn my hair around my finger and pull it out".
Senseless actions is a series of photographs taken over a period of several months, in which people are portrayed with their individual habits or tics, while performing them. It turned out that I was less interested in the act itself, but more so into the actual result of it - what "remains".
The aesthetics of this "end result" of an observed action, retroactively re-positions the question of meaning and puts the waste product of our everyday being into a new context.
