“Ri-costruirsi”
is a photographic series which investigates the relationship between
identity and the representation of body, through the media of
sculpture and photography.
Identity
is something that marks any human being, but it's not immutable, it
changes in a never-ending process, following life phases and its
passing moments. The discovery of our identity go also through the
discovery of our own body, here represented in fragments: a bust, a
back and a face in clay which colour and surface merge with the skin.
Sculpture,
in its definitive and firm form, becomes living material, hard yet
sensitive twist, weared as a dress on the artist body. The pictures
appear mid-way between real image and representation, between real
body and sculpture, between work and artist.
“Ri-costruirsi”
proprio corpo. Le immagini fotografiche appaiono così a metà strada
tra immagine reale e rappresentazione, tra corpo vivo e corpo
scultoreo, tra opera e artista.
