The natural alternation of light and darkness ensures depth and movement. It leaves the view free to recognize and encounter archaic basic patterns, which can be experienced in emotional and symbolic visual power. A spontaneous new way of seeing that, unlike usual, is in a sense scientifically guided and emotional at the same time.
The professional handling with the technical capabilities of my profession helps me to challenge the ambivalence of sight (seeing) again and again, but also to stimulate (encourage/ motivate) the viewer to scrutinise his viewing habits through change of focusing and choice of picture details.
In an intentional play with colours and geometrical form, I create new impressions, image sections (display details), colours, perspective variations (transitions) and lighting moods through image processing (image editing). Infinite in endless expanse (vastness), from unfathomable depths in the glance of the observer into the lucid, which maybe lies in front, under, over, behind or in him.
It is not the big, maybe familiar (well-known) close picture, it is the alienations, irritations, miniaturisations with each of the possible image sections that are in the foreground of my work.
It is an attempt to blur the thin line between photography and painting.
The unexpressed ambition of my artistic work is to leave the viewer to his inner world while looking. Allowing him to find the to date (until now) unexplored in himself and to connect with that and make the power of the inner pictures perceptible.
And to extravagate something that’s limitless.
