A "Pandora's box" opens before us when we begin to experience our multiple PEOPLE. That derives from most of our time we act in "normal consciousness", a basic permanent state of knowledge about ourselves and our environment. We learn to maintain specific expressions as a way of maintaining our personality that is consistent and fixed; "Many people have been unable to really discover the character, until they do not remove their makeup."
Person comes from the Latin <persōna> which means "MASK OF THE ACTOR", "CHARACTER" and this of the Etruscan <Phersu> from the Greek <prósôpon>, which obviously translates "MASK".
This project is discovered through error, improvisation, spontaneity and silence, because I realized that there is a great analogy between the etymology of the word and its use in a natural way.
"We are all actors in a great scenario called life, born with a purpose that is freely and voluntarily developed, according to the law of our own human nature to create a full realization."
By linking P E R S O N A with MASK we expel the personality out of the body, giving way to spontaneity, a kind of liberation, naturalness, RETURN TO BE A CHILD without repressing our impulses "INTUITION".
The transfiguration of this ERA occurs as a huge vortex. "The flow rotates" is repetitive, cyclic in nature. "We are born as children, we die as children." We are responsible for each action is guided by good will and our inner child, shelter our shadows, deconstruct the people we have used so far to see the brilliance of our natural essence, where spontaneity, imagination, inspiration, passion, emotions, genuine and altruistic love form a fluid current of transformations. For a time one becomes a person, we are that and then we are not; but unlike being guided by the burdens of personality, we simply let go of the immensity of possibilities and see MASK as something sacred, transits of life, we walk naked and without burdens.
The presentation of this project is 11 photographs with an installation "ties" that interweave them, a video performance and 11 resin masks.
